Our Professional Development Programmes align with the HRINZ HR Professional Competencies

Professional Accreditation

HRINZ encourages members to apply for Professional Membership of the Institute. Members who seek and gain the Institute's formal recognition of their skills, knowledge and experience in Human Resources management and development.
The first level of Professional Membership is recognised with the suffix MHRINZ. Applicants for professional membership may do so as a Generalist, Specialist or as an Academic.

Once achieved, professional membership denotes that Academics and HR practitioners have satisfied the Institute that they have the particular qualifications, knowledge and experience as well as possessing an ongoing commitment to HR professionalism and excellence in a tertiary or workplace environment

HR Business Leaders Forum

To meet the needs of the senior level HR business leaders practising in our communities, we have created HR Business Leaders groups in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. These groups are made up of mainly HRINZ members and certain criteria must be met to belong. To find out more about the HR Business Leaders forum and to check out the criteria, click here.

Representation

HRINZ is a non-political organisation, but it seeks to make its voice heard on issues which affect the professional practice of Human Resources management and development.

Research and Publications Fund

HRINZ has established a Research and Publications Fund to encourage, support and provide financial assistance for research into and publication of work about the practice of Human Resources management and development in New Zealand. The fund is available to anyone who may be seeking assistance with research or the publication of information that meets this criteria.

Access to the fund is via the institute’s Research and Publications Committee, which will scrutinize applications and make a final decision about the request. Applications can be made to the committee by email to researcher@hrinz.org.nz .
